THIS PROGRAMME IS NOW CLOSED - see the Analytical Programme for projects commissioned after 01 April 2011. The New Horizons programme aims to support innovative research capable of helping the Department meet its objectives and potential new challenges over the next decade. It is intended to assist the Departments' horizon-scanning capabilities by seeking proposals from outside researchers. New ideas can be explored which would not normally be in our main research programmes
